Flight to Singapore was comfortable. Got stung with $180 in excess baggage and they were being generous with how much i was actually over weight!
Transit hotel was so minimalist.. There was a curtain on the wall, behind the curtain.. a rendered brick wall. Was like being in a bunker.
I was pretty over the travelling part by the time i got to Kathmandu.
Arrived yesterday and spent the afternoon getting myself acquainted (mobile sim card, stocking up on bottles of water, even got myself a massage ($21 for an hour)! This place is very cool! I could totally see myself growing a 5 inch beard and growing old here.
Today more exploring and shopping for the remainder of my gear (down suit and climbing boots crampons and some other heavier items) before i head off on an acclimatisation trek – The Annapurna Circuit.
Tomorrow i meet up with Jamie to finalise a few things.
I return to Kathmandu then the expedition starts on the 12th April.
