Testing the new pack out

December 29, 2011 Posted by KowP

The last one wore my hip bones off once I loaded it up. I walked the new one home from Crosslands Reserve.

17kms with 25kgs
Took around 4hours.

The first photo is at the top of the “character building” hill which climbs out of Galston Gorge.
The second is part of “stair 251″ with Cleo leading the way. (maybe next time I’ll weigh her down too).

Hi Tom, how did the Osrpey Aether backpack go? Are you taking it to Everest?

    • Tom says:

      Well spotted ben!

I did research packs for about 3 months, decided on this one.
I love it, no hip wear, carries big loads real well.
Yep, it will be coming with me to E although i’m thinking of maybe a Mountain Hardwear Scrambler (not the current model, an older one) for the summit day (weight saving)
